So I started to watch Open Hearts tonight, after Emily graciously allowed me to steal her netflix account (I REALLY owe you now...) and one of the first scenes was a man getting run over by a car. 

Seriously.

I couldn't believe it. I actually laughed, which is never the best answer to someone receiving a broken neck AND back (yes, I thought of Sword of Honour at this point too). It seems to me that the answer to creating drama in all European films is to have a main character get hit by vehicles. I think I would be too disturbed to walk across streets in a foreign country due to every film seeming to have this particular scene. (Look at Life on Mars, Recovery, etc.)

Anyways, I didn't get to finish it tonight... I decided this wasn't one of those movies that you watch with your roommate there (there was a scene where the girl strips down to her underwear in a hospital, which fit perfectly into the story, but seems REALLY weird to randomly see on my computer screen). 

At least I have this movie to look forward to tomorrow I guess. 

And Mads is SUPER SEXY in this film. Seriously. He wears glasses. Yeah. Its hot. I love it already.
